Vikings Men's Hoops Falls to Dukes in OT, 81-71

Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Basketball lost a heartbreaker in overtime to the Dukes of RCSJ Cumberland on Thursday (1/11), 81-71.

The Vikings led for a large part of this contest, but were unable to close the door on the Dukes, who opened up a sizable lead past regulation to secure the win.

"We let one this one slip away," recounted OCC Men's Basketball Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "We were unable to secure timely rebounds down the stretch, which mightily contributed to this loss. We need to go back to the drawing board and correct some of these mistakes, as we prepare for our matchup against Thaddeus Stevens."

Dallas Weisse scored 18, while pulling down 12 rebounds and dishing 3 assists in the loss, while Clarence Celius contributed 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The Vikings return to action on Saturday, January 13, when they travel to Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology for a 1:30 P.M. contest.
