Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Men's Basketball appeared strong in their 2024 season debut, soundly defeating the Cougars of Lehigh Carbon CC by 20 points, in a 74-54 final.
OCC freshman guard Jamari Smith led the way for the Vikings, with 16 points, 7 rebounds, and a team-best 3 blocks, while freshman forward Robert Peirson contributed 15 points and 6 rebounds, and freshman guard Myles Marabuto 6 steals in a matchup that saw nearly every player on the roster (14 of 15) get time on the court.
The Vikings will go for win number 2 to start the season on Tuesday, November 12, when they host the Panthers of Passaic County CC in their home opener, tipping off at 7 P.M.
