Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Basketball slid to 3-3 overall this season following an 86-77 loss at Brookdale CC on Thursday (11/22).
Ocean freshman guard Dylan Csik, who scored a season-best 17 points in the Vikings' November 19 matchup against Salem CC, rose to meet the challenge of one of the toughest teams in Region 19 tonight, scoring a personal and team-best 27 points in his 30 minutes on the court, while freshman Jamari Smith scored 19, brought down 11 rebounds, and dished 4 assists in the loss.
"Dylan was unstoppable in the 1st half. We showed stretches of great basketball, but we didn't play a complete 40 minutes," reflected OCC Men's Basketball Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "The heart and effort were there, unfortunately a couple of costly turnovers late in the game were too much to overcome."
The Vikings will next travel to CC of Philadelphia on Saturday, November 23 for a 2 P.M. tip off against the Lions.
