Toms River, NJ - The red hot OCC Men's Basketball team won their 4th straight game on Tuesday night (1/14), completing a regular season sweep of RCSJ Gloucester with an 86-68 win.
Ocean freshman Dylan Csik led the way for the Vikings in this one, earning his first double-double of the season with a 20-point, 11-rebound night, while sophomore forward Dorian Alston returned to double digit scoring for the first time since November 23 with 13 points and 4 rebounds in a decisive victory that saw the Vikings take a 12-point lead into the half and rarely look back. A hallmark of Ocean's recent success has been the strength of their reserves, a point made evident tonight, with 35 points coming from the Vikings' bench, led by the aforementioned Alston, along with Jeremy Grospe (10 points) and Myles Marabuto (8 points).
"I'm very happy with the way the team is playing on both sides of the ball," remarked OCC Men's Basketball Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "We will have to continue this effort on Saturday in a big game against MontCo."
OCC Men's Basketball returns to the court on Saturday, January 18, when they travel to Montgomery County CC for a 2 P.M. matchup.
