Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Viking hosted the Spartans of Northampton Community College on a sunny Saturday morning.  The Vikings used a strong first half effort to put the game out of reach, going into the break up 17-0.  The scoring was led by sophomore Patrick Quinn who got all of his points (5 goals 3 assists) in the 1st half.  The Vikings also received scoring from 7 other Vikings with 3 goals coming from Chris Smith and Keirnan Quinn.  

The Vikings had a strong defensive effort led by defenders Randy Royle, Kyle Leary, Alex Castellano and Chris Arocho allowing only 3 shots on the day.  Alex Menzies' and Sam Buck's combined effort in goal secured the shutout for the Vikings.

Ryan Yursha continued his domination at the face-off "X" winning all 27 draws on the day.  

The Vikings will travel to Region 19 opponent Brookdale CC on Wednesday.  The game starts at 3:30pm
