Vikings down College of Southern Maryland for 6th Straight win

Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Men's Lacrosse team welcomed the Hawks of the College of Southern Maryland Saturday afternoon.  The weather was gloomy, but that was end of the bad news.  The Vikings led by 13 points (7G, 6A) by sophomore Patrick Quinn took care of their opponent early in the game and didn't let down from there.  Sophomore John Kicak also had another strong game scoring 5 goals and 2 assists. In total, the Vikings had 10 different scorers on the day.  Jeff Galatola, Enrique Gerena, Chris Smith had 3,2,2 goals respectively. 

For the 5th game in a row, the Vikings defense held opponents under 10 goals.  During the 6 game winning streak, the Viking defense is giving up a suffocating 4.83 goals against.

Ryan Yursha went 23-27 at the face-off "X". 

Alex Menzies finished the day with 8 saves in 45 minutes of play, while freshman goalie Sam Buck had 1 save in 15 minutes of play.
