Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Lacrosse (2-1) picked up their second straight win of the young season with an 11-6 road win against Region III's Finger Lakes CC.

The match was a back-and-forth battle throughout the first half, with the score tied at 4 at halftime. The Vikings came out for the second half refocused, and scored another 7 goals to put the game out of reach for the Lakers.

Sophomores Shawn Poole (5 goals, 1 assist), Gavin Murphy (3 goals), James Manzo (2 goals, 4 assists), and Sean Menjivar (1 goal) led Ocean's scoring attack. Murphy and Manzo lead the Vikings offensively with 8 goals and 8 assists, respectively, after 3 games. Sean Tursi had a tremendous day at the face-off "X", winning 13 of 21, while Colby Dineen gathered up a team-high 9 GBs. Ocean sophomore goalkeeper Tyler Palmer played outstanding between the pipes, recording 13 saves on 19 shots.

The Vikings return to action on Wednesday, March 20th when they host eighth-ranked Anne Arundel CC at 3 p.m.
