Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings men's soccer team won in thrilling fashion in front of their home crowd on Tuesday (10/11), with a 1-0 shutout against heated GSAC rival Union County College. Sophomore Andrew Jozwicki scored the game winner in the 13th minute off an assist from Doug Jensen to give the Vikings the victory. The match featured a strong team effort from the Vikings, who defended well and counter-attacked effectively and often throughout the match. The Vikings defensive back line, comprised of Dylan Kanson, Chandler Gibbons, Kyle Unger, and Jhon Ortiz was both strong and organized, and kept the lead well-protected against a fast and dynamic Owls offense. Vikings goalkeeper Robert Andrade was imposing in net, making 5 saves and recording his 7th shutout of the season.

The Vikings' next match is on Thursday, October 12, when they travel to Camden County College (who are currently undefeated in Region 19 play) for a 4 p.m. start.
