Bell-Gam Blasts OCC Vikings Past Middlesex CC, 6-0

Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College sophomore forward Harmony Bell-Gam scored a goal and assisted on two others, powering the OCC Vikings to a 6-0 shutout win over the Middlesex County College Blue Colts on Thursday (10/11). The victory marked the 8th of the season for Ocean, who are currently ranked 4th in Region XIX.

Freshmen Dominick Dos Santos and William De La O each scored two goals in a match that featured two season-long Ocean trademarks, executed to perfection: an aggressive offensive attack bolstered by a hard-charging, stonewalling defense. To those points, the Vikings outshot the Blue Colts 17-5, and sophomore defender Brad Bischoff provided two assists. Bischoff, returning to the field for the first time since suffering an injury in September 14's match against Bucks County CC, was a welcomed sight, and will likely factor into Ocean's final four games of the regular season.

Among the match's other highlights, crafty freshman midfielder Aniello Lubrano scored his fourth goal of the season off a 25 yard direct free kick, while freshman goaltender Riley Fahnholz made 5 saves on the day, en route to picking up his 3rd shutout of the season.

Ocean returns to action this Saturday (10/12) at Ocean County College Stadium, when they host EPAC's Northampton Community College in a 1:30 p.m. Region XIX match.
