OCC Men's Soccer Shuts Out RCGC Gloucester, 1-0

Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Soccer picked up their 2nd win of the season on Tuesday (9/20) in a commanding 1-0 shutout of the visiting Roadrunners of RCSJ Gloucester.

The Vikings employed a strong, organized defense, allowing Ocean to continually drive toward Gloucester's net. The Vikings out shot the Roadrunners, 13-8, with the scoreless stalemate broken in the 53rd minute when team captain Johnny Hart scored on a give-and-go from Kerem Satar that stood the test of time and secured the win. Ocean freshman goalkeeper Dawson Kaniuk pulled in 7 saves, including a crucial stop late in the match to preserve the shutout.

The Vikings will be traveling for their next 2 games, with a 1 P.M. match versus Delaware County Community College on September 24, followed by a 6 P.M. matchup at Atlantic Cape Community College on September 27.
