Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Soccer opened their 2024 season in strong fashion, earning a 1-0 win on the road at RCSJ Cumberland. The Vikings, who posted an overall record of 10-2-4 last year, seemingly picked up where they left off defensively, allowing just 2 shots to reach goalkeeper Mike Vivolo, while peppering the Dukes with 7. Ocean sophomore defender Brett Leschinski broke the match's stalemate in the 78th minute, converting a throw in from sophomore Billy Caruso with an expertly-placed header to lock in the win.
Next on the schedule for Ocean will be their home opener versus the Skylanders of Sussex County CC, set for Saturday, September 7 at 12 P.M.
