OCC Men's Volleyball Shuts Out Middlesex, 3-0, Ends Regular Season as GSAC Champions

Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Volleyball completed their inaugural regular season with a 3-0 shutout of Middlesex College on Monday (3/27), securing themselves the Garden State Athletic Conference championship.

Middlesex, who were defeated by Ocean on March 1, came out swinging in the first set, taking the Vikings to their limit before Ocean secured a 25-23 victory, and won the subsequent two sets by 25-20 and 25-16 final scores. The Vikings seemed to regain their season-long form, following a shocking loss to Northampton Community College on Saturday, their sole defeat of the regular season.

OCC Men's Volleyball Head Coach Madisyn Raguz was pleased with what she observed on the court tonight. "Chris played strong defense and serve/receive. Collin was also great on serve/receive, and Tosh was fantastic offensively," remarked Raguz.

Next up for Ocean is the Region 19 postseason, where the top-seeded Vikings will host #4 Passaic County Community College on Thursday, March 30 at 6:30 P.M.
