Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Volleyball earned their 2nd shutout to start the 2024 season following a 3-0 win against visiting Harcum College on Wednesday (2/21).

The unbeaten Vikings were challenged out of the gate, pulling out a 25-20 1st set win, before taking the 2nd and 3rd sets, 25-17, and 25-22. OCC freshman rightside hitter Jimmy Baxes was a force to be reckoned with in this match, blasting Harcum all night with 19 points and 15 kills, leading all players on the court in both statistical categories. Sophomore setter Tyler Iozzi continued his stellar play, with 29 assists on the night.

"We struggled to communicate, and suffered some mental errors tonight," remarked OCC Men's Volleyball Head Coach Madisyn Raguz. "Great swings from Jimmy and Pardys, extremely smart gameplay from Danny, and awesome effort from Tyler tonight. We have some work to do." 

The Vikings will now embark upon their 1st road trip of the season, when they travel to Passaic County CC on Monday, February 26 for a 6:30 P.M. matchup versus the Panthers
