Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Volleyball defeated Brookdale Community College, 3-0 on Wednesday (2/28) to earn their 4th consecutive shutout win to start the 2024 season.
The Vikings stormed out of the gate in this road match with a blistering 25-13 1st set and didn't look back, taking the 2nd set by a greater differential (25-11) before securing the win with a 25-20 3rd set. Three Vikings scored in double figures (Jimmy Baxes - 11, Danny Kejda - 11, Sam Barney - 10), Tyler Iozzi sent up 33 assists, and Ryan McCorry had 17 digs in this match.
"Danny and Tyler were extremely strong tonight, and Ryan played solid defense and serve/receive in this one," remarked OCC Men's Volleyball Head Coach Madisyn Raguz.
The Vikings will next take the court on March 4, when they welcome Atlantic Cape CC to campus for a 6:30 P.M. matchup.
