The Ocean men's cross country team traveled to Branch Brook Park (Newark, NJ) to record its finest finish of the season to date.  The Vikings earned 242 points to tie Farmingdale College for 9th in the D2/D3 division of the NJIT Highlander Challenge.  Ocean was the third division 3 junior college in the team standings behind Suffolk (#3 in NJCAA rankings) and Bergen (#5).  

Ocean was paced by freshman Noah Reilly, who earned 24th in the race.  Reilly was followed by Christian Bermudez (36th), Zachary Piscopo (68th), and Sam Lamberti (72nd).  Freshman Xavier Ramirez rounded out the team scoring in 80th place.  The Vikings will travel to Rowan on October 15th for the Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle before concluding their season at Region XIX (10/30) and NJCAA Nationals (11/12).
