Toms River, NJ - Ocean came on top once again in 2 games of play against Montgomery County College. The Vikings and the Mustangs came together to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. It was a field of pink for a great cause!
Ashley Hussey picked up her picked up her 9th win and Stephanie Havens picked up her 6th win of the season. Marissa Stadtmauer closed both games allowing only one hit and no runs in the top of the 5th inning. Stephanie Havens struck out 5 batters and Ashley Hussey allowed only 1 earned run to cross the plate.
April Szymczyk led the team with 6 RBI's for the day and crossed the plate twice herself. Mackenzie Darmstatter followed with 4 RBI's and 3 runs. Kara Molnar, Adelle Hickman, and Kurstin Binshedler each earned a total of 5 runs for the day.
The two wins puts the Vikings 8-0 in the Conference. Vikings host Brookdale on Tuesday at 3:30pm. Both teams are currently undefeated in the conference. Come out and support the girls in this battle for the top!
