Vikings Sweep Doubleheader Against Middlesex

Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings Softball team picked up their first conference wins of the season and lifted their overall record to 5-7 with a two-game sweep of Middlesex County College on Wednesday (4/5).

Vikings pitcher Marissa Stadtmauer was a dominant force on the mound in game one, striking out eight and allowing just six hits in the complete game (six inning), 10-2 win, while third baseman Stephanie Healy was outstanding in the batter's box, going 4-4 with a bases-clearing triple and 5 RBI.

Second baseman Kurstin Binshedler went 2-4 with a triple and three runs scored, and Vikings freshman Gabby Loffredo reached a personal milestone with her first collegiate home run, a two-run blast that helped put the game out of reach for the Blue Colts.
