Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings Softball team improved their overall record to 7-9 (4-2 in the Region) with a doubleheader sweep of Montgomery County Community College on Sunday (4/9).
Vikings pitcher Marissa Stadtmauer picked up her third win of the season in Ocean's 16-2 victory in the first matchup. Stephanie Healy went 2-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, and Monica Brignola went 2-3 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored in the win.
Bailey Lengyel pitched for the Vikings in the second game of the day, and threw a 5-inning shutout for her fourth win of the season. Kurstin Binshedler hit 2-4 with 3 RBI and a run scored, while Mackenzie Darmstatter was 2-3 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored.
The Vikings will look to continue their winning ways on Tuesday (4/11), when they travel to Cumberland County College in a 3:30 p.m. doubleheader.
