Vikings Drop Cumberland County CC in Doubleheader Sweep

Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings Softball team swept Cumberland County Community College in a doubleheader on Tuesday (4/11), raising their record to 9-9, and giving them six wins in their last eight games.

Game 1: OCC pitcher Marissa Stadtmauer picked up her 4th win of the season, allowing 3 hits over 5 innings and striking out 2 in the Vikings' 17-1 victory. Kurstin Binshedler went 4 for 5 with 4 runs scored, and Iris Torres hit 2 for 3 with a walk and 3 runs scored in the win.

Game 2: Bailey Lengyel notched her 5th win on the mound, as the Vikings defeated Cumberland by a final score of 12-5. Stephanie Healy was red-hot in the batter's box, going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI, with a double and 2 runs scored. Shea Branda had a productive game as well, batting 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.

The Vikings return to the field on Thursday (4/13), when they travel to Rowan College at Burlington County for a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader.
