Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Vikings Softball split a doubleheader against Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) on Thursday (4/20), winning the first game by a final score of 6-3, and losing the second, 7-5.
GAME 1: Sophomore pitcher Marissa Stadtmauer remained reliable, picking up her 9th win of the year. Gabby Loffredo put Ocean in the lead with a bases-clearing, two out triple in the top of the 6th inning, and Monica Brignola performed well at the plate, batting 2 for 4.
GAME 2: RCGC battled back from a 5-2 deficit to win Game 2, 7-5. Monica Brignola went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI in the loss.
The Vikings return to action on Friday, April 21 when they host Mercer County College in a doubleheader.
