Toms River, NJ - Vikings Softball snapped a three-game losing streak by sweeping their Saturday doubleheader against Luzerne County Community College.
GAME 1: Sophomore Marissa Stadtmauer picked up her 11th win of the season, allowing just 2 hits over 5 innings as the Vikings rolled over Luzerne, 17-0. Kurstin Binshedler batted 3 for 4 with a home run and 4 RBI in the victory.
GAME 2: Bailey Lengyel won her 6th game of the year and Shea Branda and Morgan Felger each belted 3-run home runs as the Vikings cruised to an 18-1 win. Sophomore Monica Brignola went 4 for 4 with 2 RBI, as well.
The Vikings next host Camden County College for a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader on Wednesday (5/3) in the first round of the Region XIX playoffs.
