Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings Softball team was swept by Camden County College in the first round of the NJCAA Region XIX playoffs, losing by final scores of 8-5 (Game 1) and 8-6 (Game 2).
GAME 1: Shea Branda hit 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored, Marissa Stadtmauer laced a double and drove in 2 runs, Emily Dancisin went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI and Morgan Felger batted 2 for 4, as the Vikings fell to Camden in this tough 8-5 loss.
GAME 2: Emily Dancisin went 2 for 3 with a triple and an RBI, while Marissa Stadtmauer pitched the complete game (she pitched all 14 innings of both games) in this heartbreaking, 8-6 end of the Vikings' season.
The Vikings ended their season with an 18-18 record (9-7 in GSAC).
