Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Soccer are an undefeated 2-0 on the season following a gritty 5-0 shutout of the visiting RCSJ Cumberland Dukes on Tuesday (9/14). Ocean freshman Jessica Smith was an unstoppable force, scoring 3 goals (1 assisted by Marquella Boutsikaris), while Melanie Lockwood flawlessly set up Juliana Rettino for 2 goals. "Solid second win on the season," remarked OCC Women's Soccer Head Coach Breeana Cassidy. "Jess Smith scored a clutch hat trick, and we'll look to build off of this win heading into Tuesday's matchup against Gloucester."
The Vikings return to action on September 20, when they travel to RCSJ Gloucester for a GSAC Conference showdown with the Roadrunners.
