Toms River, NJ - Nationally-ranked #9 OCC Women's Soccer won their 6th consecutive game of the season (against zero losses) after a 1-0 thriller at Union College.
It was a back and forth battle in Cranford, with both teams locked in a scoreless stalemate through the 1st half. The match appeared to be heading to extra time until Ocean freshman (and national assists leader) Melanie Lockwood found the back of the net for the Vikings, sending the team home with their season-long undefeated streak intact. Ocean freshman goalkeeper Holly Applegate made 3 saves in the shutout.
The Vikings return to action on Thursday, October 6, when they travel to Mercer County Community College for a 4 P.M. matchup.
