Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College women's tennis team (4-6) ran into a tough Rowan College at Gloucester County squad and lost by an 8-1 final score on Thursday (9/28). The Vikings struggled to establish any sort of rhythm against the Roadrunners, getting swept completely in six singles matches, as well as two of three doubles matches. Vikings Rachel Hess and Alexis Banfield won the third and final doubles match, 8-6, breaking up the shutout.

The Vikings will play their final regular season match on Monday, October 2 when they visit Brookdale Community College for a 3:30 p.m. showdown, with Region XIX playoffs beginning on Friday, October 6 (with teams to be announced).
