Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Women's Volleyball (14-3) picked up their sixth consecutive win of the season in a 3-0 sweep of Montgomery County Community College on Saturday (10/13).
Leading off the match with a nailbiter in Set 1, the Vikings and Mustangs battled it out, but OCC took the set 28-26, racking up 11 kills. Set 2 was just as gritty, but Ocean still prevailed, 26-24, through defensive execution. By the third set, the Vikings were running like a well-oiled machine, winning 25-14. Ocean freshman Ashley Stickle led the charge with 8 kills and 9 digs on the day. Other major contributors were Gianna Addalli with 20 digs, and Jenna Kulinski with 13 digs defensively. In addition, Samantha Rose had 18 assists and 3 service aces.
