Toms River, NJ - OCC Vikings Volleyball improved to 9-4 overall with a 3-1 defeat of Middlesex County College on Tuesday (10/15).
The Vikings struggled to establish a rhythm early in the contest, suffering multiple reception errors and failing to communicate, resulting in a 25-21 loss in the 1st set. The Blue Colts revealed themselves to be a scrappy team, one that wasn't going to surrender a point without a fight, and the Vikings initially struggled to keep up with their unconventional style, but they took the 2nd set, 25-20, and never looked back, picking up 25-11 and 25-10 wins in the 3rd and 4th sets to close out the match.
The Vikings next face Brookdale Community College at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 17th, in what will be their final match of the regular season.
