Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Volleyball launched their 2021-22 season on Wednesday (9/22) with a 4-set loss to the visiting Owls of Union County College.
The match was a battle, with the Vikings showing remarkable resiliance in the face of an attacking Owl offense. Ocean's 61 total digs (Ana Gonzalez led with 26) more than doubled Union's total, as both teams fought for each point. Freshman Gabriella Longo led Ocean scoring with 15 points, along with 10 kills in the loss.

The Vikings return to action on Friday, September 24, when they travel to conference rival Brookdale Community College for a 6pm Region 19 matchup.
