Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College women's volleyball team began their 2022-23 season in impressive fashion, with a 3-1 victory against the visiting Buccaneers of Atlantic Cape Community College.
Team captain Katelyn Reilly led the Vikings with 12 kills and 26 digs, while Madison Partenfelder had a vital kill in game 4, along with 29 assists and 27 digs for the game. Anastasia Gangemi-Berger had a fantastic game with 10 aces, 11 kills and 17 digs in a matchup that the Vikings fought hard to close out. Ocean battled back from an 8-point deficit in the fourth set to win the game.
The Vikings will look to build upon their win on Monday, September 12, when they welcome Raritan Valley Community College to campus for a 5:30 P.M. match.
