OCC Women's Volleyball Wins a 5-Set War Versus Union College

Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Volleyball improved to an overall record of 2-1 on the season following a grueling 3-2 win against the visiting Owls of Union College on Wednesday (9/14).

The match was a battle for every point, with leads and momentum swinging back and forth through sets, but the Vikings dug deep and managed to pull off the win before a raucous home crowd. Team captain Katelyn Reilly's 21 total kills kept the Vikings alive in key moments, while Madison Partenfelder led the team in assists (36) and digs (40) in the victory.

"Mikayla had an amazing game, and Alexa had key kills" recounted OCC Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach Madysin Raguz. "It was our hustle and heart that brought us through."

The Vikings return to the court on Saturday, September 17, when they travel to Bergen Community College for a tri-match against the Bergen Bulldogs and the Brookdale Jersey Blues.
