Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Volleyball continues to gather steam, improving their overall record to 6-1 after defeating both Middlesex College and Passaic County Community College in a tri-match hosted by Passaic on Saturday (9/24).
MATCH 1: OCC swept Middlesex College 25-18, 25-14, and 25-23 to begin the tri-match. Team captain Katelyn Reilly was locked in, registering 13 kills in 28 total attempts, while Anastasia Gangemi-Berger, Alexa McEwan, and Madison Partenfelder grabbed 15, 14, and 10 digs, respectively, in the victory.
MATCH 2: Ocean swept host Passaic County CC to complete their tri-match: 25-15, 25-14, and 25-10. Alexa McEwan's 9 kills and 7 digs (21 total digs across both matches) and Mikayla Colonnello's 5 service aces were crucial in securing the win.
This tri-match saw the debut of 2 new members of the team, Sarah Penna and Jacquelin Genty, with Sarah picking up 2 kills in match 2. Welcome aboard to both.
