Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Volleyball earned their 2nd straight win with a demonstrative 3-0 shutout of the Roadrunners of RCSJ Gloucester on Wednesday (10/12). The Vikings improve to 9-5 on the season with 3 matches left to play.
The Vikings controlled the action in this one, with a strong defensive effort that stifled the Roadrunners from establishing control at key points in the match. Set scores were 25-19, 25-16, 25-16.
"Riley had great blocks and an assist, Chrysta (18 blocks) and Ana (13 blocks) played great defense, and Alexa had some important blocks tonight," stated OCC Women's Volleyball Head Coach Alexis Whitney.
Next up for Ocean is a tri-match at Middlesex College on Saturday, October 15, where they will take on the host Blue Colts at 10 A.M., followed by the Panthers of Passaic County Community College at 12 P.M.
