Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Volleyball defeated Atlantic Cape Community College, 3-0 on Wednesday (9/6). The win marked Ocean's 3rd consecutive shutout to start the season.
Ocean took a bit of time to establish a tempo, pulling out the 1st set by a 25-20 final, before pulling away in the 2nd frame, 25-11, with a 25-16 3rd to close the match out.
"We struggled to communicate early," stated OCC Women's Volleyball Head Coach Alexis Whitney. "Great 2nd set, and great kill game by Jordan Motyka. Strong pass game from Ana Gangemi, Claudia Cosme and Anna Malandro. Good serves from Claudia and Riley Weeman in key moments helped us lock in this win."
The Vikings return to the court on Saturday, September 8, when they host Sussex County Community College in 1 P.M. Region 19 action.
