Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Volleyball swept the Skylanders of Sussex County CC on Saturday (9/30), 3-0. The win marked Ocean's 12th of the season, and 6th shutout in a row.
Ocean sophomore middle hitter Riley Weeman scored a season-high 8 points in the match, while Abby Szuba had 6 kills and scored 7. Ocean freshman libero Anna Malandro grabbed 19 digs and 5 points as Ocean won with set scores of 25-10, 25-14, and 25-8.
"Not a bad win," commented OCC Women's Volleyball Head Coach Alexis Whitney. "Maddie had a great game, and Riley and Abby were strong in the middle."
The Vikings return to the court on Monday, October 2, when they travel to Raritan Valley CC for a 7 P.M. battle of Region 19 heavyweights.
