Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Volleyball (13-2) shut out rival Brookdale Community College on the road on Wednesday (10/4), 3-0. The win marked Ocean's 13th of the season.
Ocean freshman outside hitter Claudia Cosme continued to make a case for being considered among the Region's best, with a 13-kill, 19-point, 26-dig performance that led the way for the Vikings. Freshman middle and outside hitters Abby Szuba and Jordan Motyka also brought their best to the night, with Jordan contributing 10 points and 10 kills, and Abby 10.5 points to the effort.
"We lacked some communication at times, but we had an amazing offensive game where everyone was involved," stated OCC Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach Madisyn Raguz. "Great serving game overall, and great defensive effort by Claudia."
Ocean returns to the court on Saturday, October 7, when they head to County College of Morris for a 12 P.M. Region 19 match.
