Women's Volleyball Closes Out Regular Season with 3-0 Shutout of Union College

Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Volleyball finished the regular season the same way they started it, with a 3-0 shutout victory, this time versus the visiting Owls of Union College. The Vikings ended with a 17-2 overall record, with 15 of their wins coming via shutout.

This match was hotly-contested, with Ocean establishing and relinquishing leads throughout the 3 sets, as an animated Union bench screamed for their team. The Vikings ultimately dug deep to ride the proverbial wave, and effectively shut down Union's attack. OCC freshman libero Anna Malandro was a defensive force, with 26 digs on the night, while freshman outside hitter Jordan Motyka pounded the Owls with 10 kills and 11 points.

"This one was very much a roller coaster," reflected OCC Women's Volleyball Head Coach Alexis Whitney. "Great setting by Maddie tonight, good net play by Abby, strong dig game by Anna M."
