Brooke Schmidt - OCC Women's Basketball freshman guard Brooke Schmidt (Lacey, NJ/Lacey) is off to an explosive start this season, averaging 17 points and 11 rebounds through the Vikings' first 2 games. Schmidt, a Lacey, NJ native, also picked up 7 steals and 5 assists in Ocean's season-opening win at Lehigh Carbon CC on November 9. OCC Women's Basketball next takes the court on Thursday, November 14, when they host RCSJ Gloucester at 5 P.M.
Jamari Smith - Ocean CC Men's Basketball guard Jamari Smith (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) has been a dynamic presence through the Vikings' 2 wins to start the 2024 season, scoring 16 points and pulling down 8 rebounds in game 1, and nearly repeating the output with with a 14-point, 6-board night in Ocean's 81-73 win on November 12. Jamari and OCC Men's Basketball will look for their 3rd win on Thursday, November 14, when they host RCSJ Gloucester in 7 P.M. Region 19 play.
