Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College's Men's and Women's Basketball teams hosted an All-Skills Clinic on January 25, to benefit Family Promise of the Jersey Shore.
Open to children ages 5-14 and run by Ocean's coaching staff and student-athletes, the All-Skills Clinic was offered free of charge, with donations requested in lieu of monetary payment. Family Promise, whose mission is to aid homeless families in Ocean County, accepted new and unused items ranging from outdoor toys, to bedding essentials, laundry supplies, toiletries, and gift cards, to support all of those who desperately need them.
"What a privilege to support an organization like Family Promise, who are so dedicated to serving our community," remarked OCC Executive Director of Athletics Ilene Cohen. "This is an annual event for us, and we appreciate both our attendees who generously donated items and learned more about the sport, and our remarkable student-athletes and members of our coaching staff who volunteered their time and experience to support this worthy cause."
