Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Baseball ended their 2025 season in dominant fashion, sweeping their May 3 doubleheader at Salem CC, 6-5 (game 1) and 18-5 (game 2).
Several OCC sophomores shined in their final games as Vikings, with 2nd baseman Tom LaSpina batting 7-for-9 with 6 RBI, 1st baseman Ryan Ushock driving in 2 on 5-for-8 hitting, and catcher TJ Marshall picking up 5 hits with 2 RBI in the pair of wins.
GAME 1 - Noah Cullen earned the win in relief following a strong pitching performance from sophomore Anthony Bilello. Ocean freshman Anthony Eckerson led off the 8th inning with a single, stole 2nd, and was driven in for the go-ahead run by Tom LaSpina, in OCC's 6-5 win in extra innings.
GAME 2 - Ocean freshman Darryl Piccoli threw 5 impressive innings before Ryan Mulcahey, Joe Nascimento, Jon Loalbo joined forces to help lock in the Vikings' 18-5 season-ending victory.
