Toms River, NJ - Congratulations to OCC Baseball freshman AJ Pierson, who was named Garden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week! The Vikings' C/RHP played a pivotal role in Ocean's dominant performance last week, batting .933, with 14 hits (including 3 doubles and 1 triple) and 3 stolen bases. Pierson also contributed 8 runs and 9 RBI through the week's games. Pierson is batting .500 through 14 games this season, and is invaluable behind the plate both defensively and as a game manager.
