Toms River, NJ - OCC Vikings Baseball improved their record to 22-16 following a Region XIX doubleheader split against Camden County College. The win advanced Ocean into the Region postseason, which begins on May 11th.
GAME 1 - Vikings won 2-0, with freshmen Tom Coraggio pitching a complete game gem - allowing only 3 hits in the outing. Andrew Slinger was the leading hitter for OCC - going 2-3 with a stolen base and two runs scored for the Vikings. Freshman Kyle Lauria also collected 2 hits in Game 1.
GAME 2 - Vikings lost 13-2 - with pitchers walking 6 and allowing 10 hits in the loss. Leading hitter for the Vikings - sophomore Mike Calabrese went 3-4 with a double.
Vikings Baseball has a busy week ahead, with games Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday to conclude the regular season.
