OCC Baseball Falls to Bergen in Offensive Battle, 17-12

Toms River, NJ - The hits were flying and the runners scoring in Toms River on Wednesday afternoon (4/12), and the Ocean County College baseball team came up just short in a 17-12 loss to the visiting Bulldogs of Bergen Community College.

Ocean sophomore catcher Eli McEwan blasted a triple and drove in 3, Colin Matuschat had 3 RBI, and Rian O'Rourke and Devon Smith each doubled and drove in a run in a game that saw 4 pitchers take the mound for the Vikings (Ryan Bilello, Zach Barrett, AJ Ottaviano, Jorge Polonia) in an attempt to slow the Bergen attack.

Having secured one win in their 3-game set versus Bergen, the Vikings now move on to face Camden County College in a home matchup on Friday, April 14 at 3:30 P.M., before heading to Camden for a 12 P.M. doubleheader on Saturday, April 15.
