Toms River, NJ - OCC Baseball split a doubleheader against the visiting Spartans of Northampton Community College on Wednesday (5/3). 

GAME 1: Ocean sophomore starting pitcher Dylan Wanagiel was in full control on the mound, allowing one run over 7 innings in Ocean's 2-1 victory. Sophomore Trevor Coltenback doubled in the 3rd inning, and was driven home by a single from sophomore Alex Alonso, who stole his 26th base of the season immediately afterward.

GAME 2: Ocean struggled offensively today, and it was plainly evident in this 2nd frame, where the Vikings stranded 11 runners on base in a 7-1 loss. Second baseman Cristian Corcione drove in Ocean's sole run in the 5th inning, while Trevor Coltenback and sophomore catcher Eli McEwan hit doubles in the loss. 

The Vikings return to the field on Friday, May 5, when they travel to Atlantic Cape Community College for a 3:30 P.M. GSAC Conference matchup.
