Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College's baseball team had a successful 1st day of play at The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC, soundly defeating two opponents to improve to 3-0 overall this season.

GAME 1: Ocean CC defeats Montgomery College, 15-1

OCC sophomore righthander Ryan Bilello earned his 2nd win of the season, scattering 3 hits while striking out 4 in this 5-inning blowout. OCC first baseman Ryan Ushock was a force to be reckoned with, with 3 hits and 5 RBI in this matchup, while sophomore left fielder Aidan Gallipoli drove in 2.

GAME 2: Ocean CC defeats Colby Sawyer College, 14-4

Aidan Gallipoli continued to produce in the batter's box in Ocean's 2nd game of the day, with a double and 3 RBI, while sophomore right fielder Carl Barth belted a monstrous home run, drove in 2 and stole a base in this definitive win. Ryan Ushock doubled and drove in 2 runs while sophomore Josiah Madera went the distance on the mound to pick up Ocean's 3rd win of the season.

The Vikings return to the field on Thursday, March 14, when they face Garrett College in a 3 P.M. doubleheader.
