Toms River, NJ - A three-goal hat trick from freshmen Justin Alves helped lead the Ocean County College Men's Soccer team (5-5-1) to victory over Lehigh Carbon Community College by a score of 8-0 on Sunday (9/30).
Also providing significant scoring contributions were freshmen Cory Branz, who scored a goal off of a penalty kick, and added two assists. Freshmen Nick Moreno added a hard-driven goal from outside the box and had an assist to go with it.
Recording his 5th shutout of the season was sophomore All-Region XIX goalkeeper Robert Andrade, who recorded 6 saves, including a saved penalty kick in the early minutes of the match. This is Andrade's 3rd saved penalty kick thus far this season to go with 3 others saved during his 2017 freshman season.
Ocean next travels to Union County College on Tuesday, October 2nd at 4 p.m. to take on the Owls in their next Region XIX matchup.
