Vikings Roll Past Delaware County CC, 4-1

Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Soccer secured their 9th win of the season at Delaware County CC on October 11, defeating the Phantoms in a decisive 4-1 final.

Ocean freshman Joshua Brazier opened up the scoring in the 3rd minute, converting a pass from Adal Garcia and promptly depositing it past Delaware's keeper. Brazier is now ranked 7th in the NJCAA with 27 points (10g, 7a).

OCC center back Owen Elliott struck next, scoring on a 35 yard direct free kick in the 14th min.

After conceding just after halftime, the Vikings created many chances, but couldn't convert until the 84th minute, when freshman Patrick Schlagenhaft did so after being awarded a penalty kick for being fouled in the box. Schlagenhaft would return to the scoresheet just 3 minutes later, eluding his defender and then the Phantom's goalkeeper when he tallied his second goal of the day (assisted from Garcia) to put the game to bed.

Ocean goalkeeper Justin Perrin continued his stellar play this season, recording 5 saves on the day.

The Vikings are now 9-1-2 overall, and will look for their 10th win this Tuesday, October 14 when they travel to Bethlehem to battle Northampton CC.
