Vikings Conclude Postseason Run with Loss at Region XIX Championships

Toms River, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings Men's Tennis team finished their season at the 2017 Region XIX Championship tournament (hosted by Mercer County CC), where they finished 4th out of 6 teams. Team point totals were as follows:

1. Brookdale Community College - 23

2. Rowan College at Gloucester County - 22

3. Mercer County Community College - 8

4. Ocean County College - 4

5. Williamson College of the Trades - 3

6. Bucks County Community College - 1

Tournament highlights for the Vikings include Keith Rader and Josh Humphreys winning their respective singles matches against Williamson, and joining forces to win their first doubles heat versus Bucks, along with Donovan Roberts and Robert Roche winning their doubles round against Bucks, with both pairs advancing to the semifinals, where they were unfortunately defeated.

The Vikings finish the season ranked 5th in Region XIX with an overall record of 4-7 (3-5 in the Region, 1-3 in the Garden State Athletic Conference).
