Toms River, NJ - Ocean County College Women's Basketball (0-16) fell to Middlesex County College for the 2nd time this season, by a 57-35 final score. In contrast to their previous meeting earlier in the season, the Vikings were highly competitive through the first half of this contest, heading into the locker room down 27-20 before the Blue Colts pulled away for good in the second half. Ocean sophomore Sydney Ulrich once again lead Vikings scoring with a 19-point performance, but the best overall performance of the game for Ocean came from freshman forward Iyanla Donaldson. With 9 points, 10 blocks, and 10 rebounds, the Lakewood, NJ native was 1 point away from collecting a triple-double on the afternoon. Donaldson is averaging 8.7 rebounds per game over the 13 in which she's participated.
The Vikings return to the hardwood on Tuesday, January 30 when they host Cumberland County College for a 5 p.m. matchup.
