Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Basketball returned from winter break to face stiff competition in the form of Division II opponent Mercer County Community College. It was a battle of the Vikings in which Mercer took the win in a 69-28 final.
Ocean freshman Jordan Viggiano led team scoring with a 13-point, 14-rebound performance, while freshman Nicole Garrabrants pulled in 12 rebounds in a loss in which OCC was simply unable to establish any momentum on offense.
The Vikings will regroup and look for their elusive 1st win of the season on Saturday, January 15, when they travel to RCSJ - Gloucester for a 12 P.M. GSAC matchup.
