Toms River, NJ - OCC Women's Basketball picked up their 3rd win of the season in a 57-47 home win versus the Atlantic Cape CC Buccaneers on Tuesday (12/3).
Ocean freshman guard Tatiana Hernandez led the Viking scoring effort, supplying 22 points (19 in the 2nd half), along with 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals, while sophomores Brooke Schmidt (12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals) and Ashanti Boothe (12 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals) continued their stellar play this year. Hernandez has been a consistent offensive performer this season, contributing double-digit scoring in 6 of Ocean's 7 games thus far, and will likely continue to factor heavily in the Vikings' hopes for success.
OCC Women's Basketball will return to the court on Thursday, December 5, when they host the Mustangs of Montgomery County CC at 5 P.M.
